Obituary of Arlene Mary Zemer

Arlene M. Zemer, age 94 of Mecosta, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 13, 2021, at Royal View Assisted Living. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, March 20^th, at 11:00 am, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Remus, MI, with Father Tom Boufford as Celebrant. Burial will immediately follow the service in St. Michael’s Cemetery. 

Arlene was born August 10, 1926, in Lansing, MI, the daughter of Seymour and Zora (Elliott) Ensign.  She married the love of her life, John Zemer, on April 14, 1946, and together the two grew their family to include two sons. The two moved to Lake Mecosta in 1976, where they enjoyed life together until John’s passing. Arlene was a gentle soul with a heart of gold. She loved working in her yard. She was a very social person, and always enjoyed interacting with others. 

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Donald and Dennis Zemer; grandson, Matthew Zemer, and many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, John.
