Obituary of Michael Ronald Williams

Michael Ronald Williams, age 69 of Remus, passed away suddenly March 15, 2021 at his home. A funeral service will take place Friday March 26, 2021, at 11 am, at Janowicz Family Funeral Home in Remus. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery in Dowling, MI. There will be a luncheon at Trinity Wesleyan Church following the burial. 

Mike was born April 16, 1951, the son of Mary Jane (Halstead) and Ronald Williams. He married Debbie Breecher on June 29, 1990, and the two grew their family to include four children. His passions in life were hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. He loved his family dearly and cherished every minute with his grandchildren. He became close with the Amish community in Blanchard, making numerous good friends driving them places when needed. During his working days, Mike was a contractor and was self-employed. He even built himself and Debbie their dream home. Known to be talkative, Mike could out-chat any woman, and was frequently teased for it. Over the last few years, he began collecting knives and had over 4000. He was even referred to as “Jackknife Mike” by his Amish friends. Loving, caring, and always there for everyone, is how he was described. 

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 30 years, Deborah Williams; children, Jamie (Adriana) Neely, Sarah (Austin) Bersano, Theodore Williams, and Leisa (Chris) Williams; siblings, Doug (Tammie) Williams and Bradley Williams; aunt, Marian Conley; brothers-in-law, Robert (Doris) Breecher and David Breecher; sister-in-law, Kathy Grenne; numerous grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; the Blanchard Amish community, and special friend, Kent Tatroe. 

Mike was preceded in death by his father; brother, Rick; and sons, Travis and Fred.
