Obituary of Stanley Joseph Baszczuk

Baszczuk, Stanley (Butch) Joseph, 76 , passed away at his home in Canadian Lakes, Michigan on March 20, 2021.

He was born in Wyandotte, Michigan on January 5, 1945 to Stanley and Kathleen (Champagne) Baszczuk.  Butch married Susan (Gazda) on August 15, 1987.  They resided in Clinton Township, Michigan until their retirement to Canadian Lakes, Michigan with cousins Kathy and Virgil Lawyer.

Butch served in the United States Air Force from 1963 to 1967 spending a year in Vietnam.

Butch has always enjoyed sports.  He played baseball and basketball in high school.  He later enjoyed bowling, especially with his dad, son Steve, and cousins Virgil and Russell.  He loved watching sports, enjoyed fishing with Mark and Steve, and was a card enthusiast.  He loved playing Euchre and Poker.

He is survived by children Steve (Lynn) Baszczuk, Mark (Becky) Baszczuk, Kirk Gazda and Kara Gazda.  Grandchildren Kayla (Thinh) Hoang, Jeremy Baszczuk, Erika Baszczuk, Zachary Baszczuk, Ashlee Gazda, Austin Gazda, Adam Gazda, Alexa Gazda, Kayla (Trenton) Reeve, and Andrew Olson. Great-grandchildren Elena and Rylee and many cousins and friends.

Butch will be inurned at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
