Obituary of Keith Lobert

Keith Francis Lobert, 83, of Remus Michigan entered eternal life Friday, July 23, 2021.He was born on December 18, 1937 in Edmore Michigan to the late Frank and Irene (Wernette) Lobert.  He is survived by his beloved wife Mary Erna; loving children, Ken of Louisiana, Steve (Shelley) of Mecosta, and Greg of Remus;  six grandchildren, Lauren, Morgan, Max, Rachel, Ike, and Tom; brother Gary, and three sisters, Margaret DeLorme, Louanne Wymer and Reta (Fred) L'Esperance; also in-laws Ron (Maureen) McLachlan, Jane (Bob) Spence, and the late Linda (Jozef) Nadasky, nieces and nephews, and many treasured friends.  In 1955, he graduated from Remus High School and in 1964 from the University of Michigan, Dearborn, then lived in Walker Michigan while working for Allstate Insurance Company. At age forty, he quit his job to attend school full time; graduating from Thomas Cooley Law School in 1981; setting up a practice along with Shawn Downey in Big Rapids Michigan, where he was a principal in Mecosta County Abstract and Title Company.  He was an active member of St. Michael Parish, the Knights of Columbus, and the Remus Lions Club. Visitation 4-7 (Rosary at 6:30) at St. Michael Catholic Church, Remus Michigan on Friday, August 6 and again beginning at 10:00 for one hour before Mass of Resurrection at 11:00 Saturday August 7 with Father Tom Boufford as Celebrant. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael School Foundation or God's Helping Hands.
