Obituary of Janice R Renkie

Janice R. Renkie, 85, the best pie maker in the world, passed away Friday August 6th, 2021. Janice was born to parents Lester C. Richardson and Nellie A. Maxon on April 16, 1936. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Michael Catholic Church in Remus, on Thursday August 12that 11:00am. Visitation will be held at the church one hour before the service. 

Janice will be remembered for being the jack-of-all-trades. From painting, to working on old cars, Janice mastered many skills. She had a knack for cooking, and enjoyed doing laundry by hand in her old ringer washer. Janice was a strong, determined woman. She married her sweetheart, Edwin Renkie, on July 31st1954. Together, the two grew their family to include five children. Janice always made her family her top priority. She deeply loved her children, grand children, and great grand children.

Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 67 years; her children, Edwin L. Renkie (Elizabeth), Mark A. Renkie (Cheryl A.), Lori A. LeVeque (Patrick J.), Jackie L. Argersinger (Roger); son in law, Jeffery Wilson; grandchildren, Katherine E. Renkie, Joseph D. LeVeque, Jessica L. Fisk; great-grandchildren, Brooke L. Curtis, Damion P. Leveque, Dakota J. LeVeque, Julian T. Younkman; siblings, Dwain Richardson, Patricia Smith, and Robert Richardson. 

Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Lester C. Richardson and Nellie A. Maxon; siblings, Ronald Richardson, Marylyn Bailey; and her daughter, Teresa M. Wilson. 

Flowers may be sent to St. Michael Catholic Church on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael’s Catholic Church.
