Obituary of Darrell Decker

Darrell Decker, age 77 of Stanton, passed away peacefully Thursday, August 12, 2021 in Spectrum Butterworth, Grand Rapids, MI.

Per his wishes, cremation will take place with burial to follow in Decker cemetery next to his late wife Norma.

Darrell was born October 10, 1943, the son of Harrison and Ella (Meier) Decker.  He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.  It was during his deployment that he met and married the love of his life Norma.  Darrell and Norma made their home at Dickerson Lake, Stanton.

Darrell retired after 44 years of loyal service from Northland Corp in Greenville, MI.

Darrell was a private person and often quiet. He was an outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his late wife Norma, frequently traveling to the Philippines to visit her extended family. 

Left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Nora Simon, and Beverly Korytkowski (Archie), and brother, Raymond (Jill) Decker;  nephews and nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces, including extended family members in the Philippines.

He was preceded in death by his parents Harrison S. and Ella P. Decker, wife Norma, and Brothers Stanley and Gary Decker.
