Obituary of Laura Mae Todd

Laura Todd, 83 of Mecosta, passed away Friday November 3, 2017 at Cedar Crest AFC Home in Remus, surrounded by family. Laura was born July 18, 1934 in Grand Rapids, Mi. She married Fred (Tom) Todd on December 2, 1955, they made their home in Mecosta, MI.

Laura was a full time mom, who was always there for anyone who needed her. She enjoyed cooking and canning. She will be greatly missed by her family.

Special thank you to Cedar Crest AFC Home, Hospice of Michigan and Marie Taylor for the excellent care of our mom and to Uncle Bob, Aunt Doreen, Uncle Jimmy, Aunt Betsy and Uncle Jerry for being there for her. Also a special thank you to KJ’s Restaurant and Woody’s for going above and beyond in providing mom with excellent service.

Laura is survived by her children, Aaron (Tammy) Todd, Marie (Eric) Smith and Agnes Todd. Grandchildren, Kira (Anthony) Truman, Fred (Amber) Todd, Afton (Sidney III) Middleton, Ariel Walker, Jasmine (Ian) Stevenson, Aaron (Shelby Nuhn) Todd Jr and Aaliyah Walker. Great Grandchildren, Sidney IV, Darius, Gabriel, Emanuel, Madalynn, Judah, Jude, Connor, Jayla, Neo, Charlotte, Kingston and Beau. Brother Bruce (Lillian), Sisters Mary Ann and Eleanor. Brother in-laws Marvin (Almenda), Robert (Doreen), James (Elizabeth), Gerald (Rita), Walter, Francis (Sandra), Kenneth (Deloris), Loren (Terri) and Gary (Lori). Sister in-laws, Bernice (Lloyd) and Connie and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Fred, Father James “William” Haywood, Mother Agnes (Cummings) Haywood, Brothers James, Elton, Lawrence, Ronald and Larry and Sister Ethel. Father-in law Fred Todd, Mother-in-law Verda (Harris) Todd, Brother In-law Jack, infant boy and Sister In-laws Dorothy and Lucille and several nieces and nephews.

Per her request, cremation has taken place. A small gravesite service and dinner will be held at a later date.
