Obituary of Jean Dunn

Jean Dunn, our devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2017, at Spectrum Butterworth Hospital, at the age of 83. A memorial mass will be held in her honor Monday, November 27th, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Remus, at 11:00 AM, with Father Tom Boufford as Celebrant.

Jean was born June 8, 1934, in Detroit, MI, the daughter of Ugo and Noemi (Prosperi) Moro. She married the love of her life, Patrick Dunn on September 21, 1957, and the two were blessed with over 60 years of marriage. She and Patrick were very active members of Canadian Lakes, which they thoroughly enjoyed for the last 20 years. Jean enjoyed traveling, and cruise ships were her favorite way to travel (they always had the best food). Independent, vivacious, and loving were all words used to describe her. She was a classy woman with a great sense of style, and was always well put together. People embraced her for her honesty, wit, humor, and outstanding Italian cooking.

Jean will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 60 years, Patrick; children, Cornelius, Amy, Daniel, Patrick, and Joseph; sister, Ida LaSalla; ten grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
