Obituary of Jeannine Therese Hopkins

Jeannine Therese Hopkins, age 81 of Rodney, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at home, with her loving family by her side.  A funeral service will be held in her honor Monday, January 22^nd, at Chippewa Hills Baptist Church in Remus, at 11:00 AM, with visitation from 10:00 AM to the time of service.  Pastor Charles Richardson will officiate with a luncheon to follow at the church.

Jeannine was born August 8, 1936, the daughter of William and Beatrice (Freidel) Mayer.  She enjoyed embroidering, baking, gardening, and most of all, spending time with her family. Her children saw her as an angel on earth, and will deeply miss her loving ways. Empathetic, loving, compassionate, and generous were all words used to describe Jeannine.

Left to cherish her memory are her two children, Dawn and Eric and one brother, Steven Mayer.  Jeannine was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Paul; her parents; four brothers, William, Gary, Joseph, and Eldon Mayer, and one sister, Marjorie.
