Obituary of Donald R Dean

Donald R. Dean, of Canadian Lakes, passed away after complications from surgery on July 30, 2018, at Spectrum Hospital, Big Rapids. 

Don was born May 9, 1937 in Ionia, MI to Frank and Emma Dean. He graduated from Ionia High School in 1955. He married Donna (Fisher) Dean on June 1, 1984. 

Don was a life-long real estate agent, most recently for Coldwell Banker, where he received many awards for high sales and professionalism. Don loved working with people, and never met a stranger. He was an active member of the Chapel of the Lakes Lutheran Church, and the Canadian Lakes Fishing Club. He will be remembered by many as the big man with a bigger heart. 

He is survived by his spouse, Donna; his children, Richard (Natalie) Dean, Michelle Dean, Cindy (Robert) Snyder, Jeff (Julie) Woodworth, Michael (Jessica) Woodworth, and Brian (Stephanie) Woodworth, and nine grandchildren. 

A memorial service will be held Monday, August 6^th, at 11:00 a.m. at Chapel of the Lakes Lutheran Church, with Pastors Will Hooper and Paul Schneider officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Chapel of the Lakes Lutheran Church Mortgage Fund.
