Obituary of Ruth Joyce Wogaman

Ruth Joyce Wogaman, age 96, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2018 at Maplewood in Mt. Pleasant.  A funeral service will be held Sat., Sept. 8. 2018 at 10:00 AM at Janowicz Family Funeral Home in Remus with Pastor Patricia Teft officiating.  Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until the time of the service on Saturday.  

Ruth was born on Sept. 11, 1921 in Grand Rapids, the daughter of Clyde and Ethel (Jenne) Farrington.  Family described Ruth as cheerful, with a friendly personality and easy to get along with.  She liked to travel, fish, paint, craft (bead work, crochet and knit) and played the piano and organ for churches for many years.  She was proud of her service to her country for two years with the US Navy and trained at IBM Headquarters in New York.  Ruth loved the Lord and her fourteen grandchildren very much. 

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Mark (Marjie) Barnhart, John (Melanie) Richards, Larry Richards, James (Sally) Richards; daughters, Mary (Scott) Dunn, Debbie Richards; daughter-in-law, Karen Richards. 

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Maurice A. Wogaman; son, David Richards and brother, Don Farrington.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Millbrook Free Methodist Church’s floor fund.
