Obituary of Catherine Arlene (Miller) Hitchmough

Catherine Arlene (Miller) Hitchmough, our mother, daughter, sister, and aunt, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, September 30, 2018, at the age of 58. A memorial service will be held in her honor at Janowicz Family Funeral Home in Remus, Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at 11:00 AM, with Father Tom Boufford officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday morning from 10:00 AM to the time of service at the funeral home. 

Cathy was born September 13, 1960, the daughter of Vince and Carol (Bradley) Miller. She married the love of her life, Doug Hitchmough, and together the two grew their family to include two children. Cathy worked as a bank teller for Fifth Third Bank in Grand Rapids for over 25 years. She was an outgoing person known to be stubborn from time to time. She was great at cross-stitching, procrastinating, and being graceful when proven wrong by her children. Cathy enjoyed watching the Red Wings and Lions on T.V., listening to classic rock, and playing the most basic of computer games. 

She will be deeply missed by her parents, Carol and Vince Miller of Remus; children, Derek Hitchmough of Grand Rapids and Christine Hitchmough (Dustin DeBow) of Cold Springs, KY; siblings, Michael Miller (Janet Hunt) of Mecosta, Jeanne (Alan) Alaga of Ovid, and David (Holly) Miller of Stanwood, and many nieces and nephews. 

Cathy was preceded in death by her husband, Doug Hitchmough, and brother-in-law, Tony Davy.
