Obituary of Larry Nostrant

Larry Gene Nostrant, age 76 of Remus, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2019, at Spectrum Butterworth Hospital with his family by his side. A funeral service in his honor will be held Wednesday, Feb. 27^th, at 1:00 PM, at Janowicz Family Funeral Home in Remus, with Pastor Randy Piatt officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and again on Wednesday from 12:00 PM to the time of service at 1:00 PM. 

Larry was born February 26, 1942, the son of George and Mary (Sniff) Nostrant. He married the love of his life, Shirley Hopkins, on November 19, 1958. 

Left to cherish his memory are his three children, Richard Nostrant, Fred (Meredith) Nostrant and Vicky Nostrant; four grandchildren, Lynn, Jere, Larry, and Shirley; six great-grandchildren; a special niece, Mary lee Farmer; brother-in-law, Floyd (Joyce) Hopkins several nieces and nephews, and neighbor, Cheryl Flowers.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Shirley in 2014; mother and father-in-law, Albert and Beatrice Hopkins; two sisters, Marie (Jr) King, and Reva (Leon) Taylor; two brothers, Richard (Pete) Sniff, and Jim Sniff; five brothers and sisters-in-law, Florence Irene Hopkins, Cleo (Art) Hemmingsen, Albert “Buck” (Pat) Hopkins, Raymond (Rose) Hopkins, and Betty Lou Johnson.
