Obituary of Joan Eileen Bonzelaar

Joan E. Bonzelaar, age 71 of Canadian Lakes, passed away unexpectedly at home, September 7, 2019. 

Joan was born January 10, 1948, the daughter of Delores and John Shielest. She worked in grocery retail for many years as a representative as well as a manager. Being an outgoing person, Joan enjoyed being able to interact with people as a part of her job. Casino trips were a favorite of Joan’s, especially since they were always with her husband, Jed. The two also golfed together in earlier years, and more recently, bowled together at the Remus Bowling Center. Always on the lookout for a bargain, Joan would quite often come home with steals she found while at the store. 

Her loving and caring ways will be deeply missed by her husband, Jed Bonzelaar; children, Juli, Lisa, and Jeff, and sister, Diane Goodwin. 

Joan was preceded in death by her parents. 

Cremation will take place with no services planned at this time. Friends may share a memory with family online at Janowicz Family Funeral Home.
