Got back from vacation yesterday, and heard of the death of Uncle Larry today from my sister Nancy. It was a sad day! Like everyone I have so many fond memories of him. From the days back in Detroit, to working with him at Borg and Beck, to when he first built the cottage at Canadian Lakes. Then there was the hunting and fishing and who could ever foreget those days of going to church on Sunday. When he and the uncles started singing (and sometimes us kids) it was a thing a beauty. They sang louder than anyone in the church. I'm sure the walls of the church shook and the gates of heaven opened to enjoy this great vocal experience. Then when is was all over it was back to the woods for more hunting. Uncle Larry was one of the great ones and brought so much joy to this family. I'm sorry I couldn't be at the church for the services, and to honor his life, but he will always be in our hearts. God Bless You Uncle Larry, You will be missed, Thank You for the great memories.

Some of my best memories as a child are at deer hunting camp. Uncle Larry was always fun, and when it came to Sunday mass,
we never missed. He ensured that everyone attended no matter how tired they were and accepted no excuses. If something funny happened in church you would make sure Uncle Larry did not see you (catch you) laughing.
He always had time to talk to you even as a child and was a caring person.
Uncle LORNIE will be missed.

So sorry to be out of town and unable to say a final goodbye to him at his funeral. He was a pillar of our church and always ready with a smile. He will truly be missed.
