Obituary of Art Klein

Carl Arthur “Art” Klein, age 93 of Canadian Lakes passed away on August 16, 2020 at his home.  The family is planning a Celebration of Life for him at a later date.

Art was born in Cleveland, Ohio on April 16, 1927, the son of Arthur and Mary (Kaldy) Klein.  He served in the Merchant Marine’s, even spending time in Egypt, a place he never wanted to return to.  He was a supervisor at Chrysler during his working years.

He was a reserved kind of guy but was well liked by many.  He loved golf, bowling and the Detroit Tigers.  He was called the “Grinch” but in a fun way, even to the point of owning Grinch PJ’s and wearing them with pride.  Art was a generous man especially when it came to his family.

Art leaves behind his son, Larry (Evelyn) Klein and his daughter, Kathy Klein-Trombley; 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; his first great-great grandchild on the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Doris C. Klein in 2003.
