T.C. Coleman

Obituary of T.C. Coleman

Timothy “T.C.” Michael Coleman, devoted husband, best big brother, and mentor to many, passed away October 7, 2020, in Grand Rapids, MI.

Per his wishes, cremation will take place with a memorial service to follow at a later date.

T.C. was born in Detroit, MI on October 14, 1946, the son of George and Florence (Walsh) Coleman. He married the love of his life, Deborah Zee, on July 27, 1984, and the two built a beautiful life together. He owned and operated T.C. Coleman Insurance Agency for 51 years, and was the best business partner Deb could ask for. T.C. was an avid golfer, which he and Deb shared. The two spent summers in Canadian Lakes, and their winter months were spent in Florida where they could golf and enjoy time with friends. Politics were a passion of his, as well as sports. He enjoyed all sports, but the Detroit Lions were his favorite team to watch. Unfortunately, T.C. never got to witness a Super Bowl win for them, but he always stayed optimistic thinking, “this is the year”. Successful businessman, dedicated, honest, and funny were all words used to describe T.C.

His loving nature will be deeply missed by his wife of 36 years, Deborah Coleman; siblings, Jim Coleman and Diane Wooliever; sisters-in-law, Brenda Suske and Becky Coleman; nieces and nephews, Kevin and Kari Coleman, Joseph Suske, Macy Cullinan and Joshua Rock; many great friends and his beloved dog, Frankie.

T.C. was preceded in death by his parents; infant sister, Sheila; brother-in-law, Dennis Wooliever, and beloved dogs, Lacy, Lucy, and Daizee.
