Obituary of Tresa Barhitte

Tresa Lynn Barhitte, loving wife, mother, and daughter, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, October 25, 2020. She was only 47 years old. A funeral service to celebrate her vibrant life will be held Friday, October 30^th, at 1:00 pm, at Janowicz Family Funeral Home in Remus with Pastor William Hooper officiating. Visitation will also take place at the funeral home on Friday morning from 11:00 am to the time of service. 

Tresa was born June 7, 1973, in Mt. Pleasant, MI, the daughter of Deb Stieg and Mike Rodabaugh. On June 15, 2002, Tresa married the love of her life, Pete Barhitte, and the two grew their family to include two daughters. Family was everything to Tresa and she lived for each and every one of them. Saying she was an involved mother is an understatement. A 4H mother, cheer coach, and chaperone on all school fieldtrips were only a few of her titles. She enjoyed karaoke, cooking, and her beloved great danes. A giving person, Tresa frequently thought of others before herself. She was a caring wife, supportive mother, and a second mom to her nieces and nephews. 

Her heart of gold will be deeply missed by her husband of 18 years, Pete Barhitte; parents, Deb (Bill) Stieg and Mike Rodabaugh; daughters, Jacey and Aubree Barhitte; sisters, Amber Stieg and Deanna Petoskey, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
