Obituary of Bonnie Jean Skalitzky

Bonnie Jean Skalitzky, age 86 of Mt. Pleasant (formerly Shepherd), passed away December 31, 2020. Per her wishes, cremation will take place with no service to follow at this time. 

Bonnie was born June 2, 1934, in Mt. Pleasant, MI, the daughter of Roy and Agnes Moss. She married the love of her life,  Edward James Skalitzky, and together the two grew their family to include three daughters. Bonnie enjoyed painting, loved flowers, cherished time spent with her family, and was always up for socializing. A catholic all her life, Bonnie attended St. Appollonia Catholic Church in Morley, St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in Shepherd, and was married in St. Michael Catholic Church in Remus. 

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Valerie (Robert) Ellison, Kathy (Mark) Miller, and Karen (Terry) VanSyckle; sister-in-law, Margie Skalitzky; brother-in-law, James Crowley; grandchildren, Heather Corp, Hillary Oliver, and Eric Miller; two great-grandsons, Ian Corp and Hunter Oliver; many nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog, Max. 

Sadly, Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two grandsons, James Arthur and Terry James VanSyckle; brother, RoyLee, and sister, Julie.

Bonnie’s family would like to give a special thanks to all at the Prestige Centre.
