Obituary of Rick Dwayne Bellingar
Rick Dwayne Bellingar, family man and friend to everyone, passed away peacefully at his home Saturday, January 9, 2021. He was 72 years old.
Rick was born August 4, 1948, the son of Dwayne and Margaret (Sandbrook) Bellingar. He married his soul mate, Yulanda Bruder on September 16, 1967, and the two grew their family to include four children. They raised their family in Laingsburg, MI, while Rick worked as a barber in Lansing. The two moved to the Mecosta area after retiring, and have spent more than 20 years making memories with their family at the lake. He was lovingly referred to as “Lake Neighbor Rick” by many of his friends and neighbors who he adored. Rick enjoyed golfing, playing poker, and even bowling back in his younger years. He was also known to throw back a Miller lite or two. He had a heart of gold and would give anyone he met the shirt off his back. Family meant the world to Rick, and he was always most happy when they were all together.
His loving nature and great sense of humor will be sorely missed by his wife of 53 years, Yo Bellingar; children, Jamie (Tom) Demboski of Jupiter, FL, Laurie (Jeff) Nash of Haslett, MI, Andy (Ro) Bellingar, of Williamston, MI, and Bruce Bellingar of Williamston, MI; brother, Vic (Judy) Bellingar of six Lakes, and grandchildren, Hunter, Emily, Deven, Allie, Kendall, Blake, Brooklyn, Kate, and Jake.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents.
A visitation will take place Saturday, January 16, 2021, from 10am to 12pm, at Janowicz Family Funeral Home in Remus. A private service will take place at 1pm on Saturday. To take part in the service virtually, please use the information listed below.
