Obituary of Michael Joseph Feeney

Michael Joseph Feeney Jr., age 85 of Canadian Lakes, MI, passed away Monday, November 13, 2017, at his home surrounded by his three daughters. Cremation will take place with a memorial service to follow at a later date. 

Michael was born July 26, 1932, in Detroit, MI, the son of Michael Sr. and Mary (Ernest) Feeney. He worked for Ford/Rogue Steel for 43 years before retiring to Canadian Lakes in 1992. An active member of the community, Michael was in golf,pool, and poker leagues, a member of the mobile watch program, and was involved in numerous types of volunteer work. He was a hard-working family man with a heart of gold. Honest, compassionate, and generous were all words used to describe Michael. 

His loving ways will be greatly missed by his three daughters, Cheryl Anne (Keith) O'Con, Michelle Lynn Feeney, and Marilyn Leslie Walter; sisters, Mildred and Jean; grandchildren, Michael O'Con, Bryan O'Con, and, Kaylee O'Con,; great-grandchild, Alex Johnson; one great-grandchild on the way, and his beloved dog, Cookie. 

Michael was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dolores Bernadette in 2012; brother, Jack; sisters, Dorothy, Karen, Helen, Mary, and Fran.
